60 Day FGASA NQF2 Field Guide Course
Travel over 2000km’s, visiting four of Zimbabwe’s most iconic destinations on the world’s first mobile FGASA Field Guide Course.
The Pathfinders mobile Field Guide course commences at Antelope Park, Zimbabwe’s leading private game reserve. This offers the perfect introduction to the African bush, with over 200 bird species and an abundant number of plains game.
Follow on to Bubiana Conservancy and the Matopos National Park, which showcases a spectacular change in geology with the largest granite outcrops in the world. This provides an ideal habitat for the mysterious leopard, increasing the chance of sightings!
Next, learn in the largest and oldest National Park in Zimbabwe, Hwange National Park. Renowned for their large populations of lion, elephant and buffalo, you will have ample opportunity to study some of Africa’s largest and most recognised wildlife.
The course will conclude in Victoria Falls, one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World, where you will be able to explore and brave the various adrenaline activities on offer during your free-time. Victoria Falls represents another unique ecosystem, concluding your training and preparing you to pass your field guide examination with ease.
At the completion of the course, you will have learnt how to guide in a diverse range of biomes both effectively and efficiently, giving you a broad knowledge base as a Field Guide. Your days will be spent covering the following curriculum in an exciting mix of theoretical and practical based lessons.
