About Us
A Wildlife Experience Like No Other
Established in 1987 and located in the heart of Zimbabwe, Antelope Park is a magical private game reserve set in 3000 acres of African bush. We are the leading and most-acclaimed volunteer destination and experience in Zimbabwe and a multiple-winner of Go-Abroad’s “Best Volunteer Project”. And, we also offer wonderful safari-style holidays for our guests and have been awarded the World Tourism Awards for “Zimbabwe’s Leading Private Game Reserve”.
Our savannah plains are home to over 20 mammal species including zebra, wildebeest, giraffe and impala, and over 200 different species of birds. We also have four orphaned elephants in our care that provide wonderful walking and interaction opportunities, and we have one of the largest horse stables in the region offering numerous riding activities from game-watching and overnight safaris, to polo cross games and carriage rides. Antelope Park is the base of the African Lion and Environmental Research Trust (ALERT), and our important lion conservation efforts include being the proud home of the Antelope Park lion rehabilitation program, which works to reintroduce the offspring of captive-bred lions into the wild.
Getting up-close-and-personal with all these amazing African animals is not just guaranteed, but is a daily activity on Antelope Park’s Volunteering Projects.
